Challenge your brain with this vocabulary-rich game.

How to Play

  1. Have everyone sit in a circle.
  2. Get a nice rhythm going by alternating clapping and slapping your thighs.
  3. One person starts by saying, "The minister's cat is an..." and saying an adjective that starts with 'a', such as "angry" and then finishing up with "...cat!"
  4. Keeping a steady rhythm, the next person starts the same, but must use a different adjective that starts with 'a', such as "adorable" and then finishes with "...cat!"
"The minister's cat is an adorable cat!"
  5. Keep going until someone can't think of an adjective that starts with 'a'.
  6. Then that person is out!
  7. The next person advances to the next letter of the alphabet, in this case, 'b'. Such as "The minister's cat is a boring cat."
  8. The play continues until only one person is left, or you've made it through the entire alphabet!
