Here's how to create a fun song-guessing game, inspired by the podcast Good Job Brain.
You can create audio files made of snippets of lyrics, spoken by unusual voices.
Then, you can play them for your friends and see if they can guess the song.
3 Easy Steps
- Pick a song and choose lyrics that don't use the title and immediately give the song away.
- Use a text-to-voice generator, like readloud.net , voicegenerator.io or voicemaker.in to turn those lyrics into an audio file.
- If you'd like, convert the audio file's voice to something more unusual, using a tool such as voicechanger.io.
Example Game: Famous Love Songs 💗
Random strangers call you, puzzled by the lyrics of these songs about love. Can you guess their titles?
"The Greatest Love of All" written by Michael Masser, recorded by George Benson, Whitney Houston, and others
I believe that children are our future Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride, to make it easier Let the children's laughter remind us how we use to be. Everybody's searching for a hero People need someone to look up to. I never found anyone who fulfilled my need. A lonely place to be, and so I learned to depend on me. I decided long ago never to walk in anyone's shadow. If I fail, if I succeed. At least I lived as I believe. No matter what they take from me, They can't take away my dignity... And if by chance that special place that you've been dreaming of Lead you to a lonely place Find your strength in love
"More Than Words" by American rock band Extreme
Saying I love you Is not the words I want to hear from you It's not that I want you Not to say but if you only knew How easy, it would be to show me how you feel Now that I've tried to Talk to you and make you understand All you have to do is close your eyes And just reach out your hands and touch me Hold me close, don't ever let me go... What would you do If my heart was torn in two? ...What would you say If I took those words away? Then you couldn't make things new Just by saying I love you
"The Rose" written by Amanda McBroom, recorded by Bette Midler and others
Some say, "Love. It is a river That drowns the tender reed" Some say, "Love. It is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed" Some say, "Love. It is a hunger An endless aching need" I say, "Love. It is a flower And you its only seed" It's the heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taken Who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dyin' That never learns to live
"I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton, also recorded by Whitney Houston
If I should stay I would only be in your way So I'll go, but I know I'll think of you every step of the way
"Unchained Melody" by Hy Zaret (lyrics) and Alex North (music), famously recorded by The Righteous Brothers
Woah, my love, my darling I've hungered for your touch A long, lonely time And time goes by so slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine? I need your love I need your love God speed your love to me Lonely rivers flow To the sea, to the sea To the open arms of the sea, yeah Lonely rivers sigh "Wait for me, wait for me" I'll be coming home, wait for me
"The Power of Love" by Jennifer Rush, recorded by Celine Dion, Air Supply and others
Even though there may be times It seems I'm far away Never wonder where I am 'Cause I am always by your side 'Cause I'm your lady And you are my man Whenever you reach for me I'll do all that I can We're heading for something Somewhere I've never been Sometimes I am frightened But I'm ready to learn... The sound of your heart beating Made it clear suddenly The feeling that I can't go on Is light years away
"The Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh
I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight, I've never seen you shine so bright, I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance, They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance, And I have never seen that dress you're wearing, Or the highlights in your hair that catch your eyes, I have been blind... There's nobody here, it's just you and me, It's where I want to be, But I hardly know this beauty by my side, I'll never forget the way you look tonight I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight, I've never seen you shine so bright, you were amazing, I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side, And when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away, And I have never had such a feeling, Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight
"My Heart Will Go On" composed by James Horner, lyrics by Will Jennings, & recorded by Celine Dion
Every night in my dreams I see you, I feel you... Far across the distance And spaces between us... Near, far, wherever you are... Once more, you open the door And you're here in my heart... Love can touch us one time And last for a lifetime And never let go 'til we're gone Love was when I loved you One true time I'd hold to... You're here, there's nothing I fear... We'll stay forever this way You are safe in my heart... My heart will go on and on
"She's Like the Wind" by Patrick Swayze and Stacy Widelitz.
She rides the night next to me She leads me through moonlight Only to burn me with the sun She's taken my heart But she doesn't know what she's done Feel her breath in my face Her body close to me Can't look in her eyes She's out of my league Just a fool to believe I have anything she needs... I look in the mirror and all I see Is a young old man with only a dream Am I just fooling myself That she'll stop the pain? Living without her I'd go insane
"She's Got a Way" by Billy Joel
She's got a smile that heals me, mmh I don't know why it is But I have to laugh when she reveals me... She comes to me when I'm feelin' down Inspires me without a sound She touches me and I get turned around... And I find the strength to keep on goin'... She's got a light around her, ooh And everywhere she goes A million dreams of love surround her Everywhere
"Can't Help Falling in Love" written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss. Famously recorded by Elvis Presley
Wise men say Only fools rush in... Shall I stay? Would it be a sin... Like a river flows Surely to the sea, Darling, so it goes. Some things are meant to be. Take my hand. Take my whole life, too...
