One of my favorite ways to volunteer in our community is by helping with an elementary art program. Parent and community volunteers donate their time to teach art lessons to each classroom. I help by making the art samples that the volunteers bring to the classrooms as examples of the projects they will be making. I also provide input in lesson development. This art project is based on the pop artist Jim Dine. Each grade created a different style of heart. All of the hearts were arranged in the front entrance in a big collage for our grand end-of-year Arts Gala celebration.
